What Is Reflexology ?

Reflexology is a form of 'alternative' or 'complementary' medicine, treatment involves using a form of massage to specific points on the feet or hands (the feet are more commonly used). Each point on the foot has a corresponding part in the body.

With a reflexology treatment the whole person is treated, not just the prevailing symptoms. Reflexology does not claim to cure all but it has been very successful in bringing relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Numerous different disorders have been successfully treated by using this method.

Many people use reflexology as a way of relaxing the mind, body and counteracting stress. With ever increasing levels of stress, it is important to take more responsibility for our own health. Reflexology can help us to cope on a physical, mental and emotional level thus encouraging us to heal and maintain health and well being.

Many doctors, consultants and other health care professionals recognise reflexology as a well established, respected and effective therapy.
